Jean D. Tchatchoua is the Founder and Executive Director of the International Farm Union (IFU), a global agricultural platform that connects farmers, cooperatives, researchers, and buyers through technology, data, and expanded market access.
Raised in a farming family and having worked across Europe and the United States, Jean witnessed firsthand the structural challenges farmers face—from limited market access to economic vulnerability. These experiences shaped his guiding belief that “farming is not the problem—the system is.”
With over 35 years of experience as an information technology and compliance engineer in both the private and government sectors, Jean brings a unique combination of technical expertise, regulatory insight, and global perspective to the agricultural sector.
He leads IFU’s mission to build a unified global agricultural ecosystem that integrates trade, financing, training, and innovation—empowering farmers, strengthening rural economies, and helping reduce hunger worldwide.
